Prof. Tuller holds an appointment of a full professor with tenure at Tel Aviv University where he is the head of the Laboratory of Computational Systems and Synthetic Biology (https://www.cs.tau.ac.il/~tamirtul/). A central research interest of Prof. Tuller and his lab is developing computational approaches for modelling and engineering gene expression for various biotechnological/medical objectives.
Prof. Tuller has formal education and training in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, medicine, and biology (four BSc, two MSc studies and two PhD titles). Before joining Tel-Aviv University he was a Koshland fellow at Weizmann Institute of Science in the faculty of mathematics and the faculty of molecular genetics.
Prof. Tuller is the author of more than 150 peer reviewed scientific journal articles in top journals and more than 200 other types of publications (conference papers, abstracts, book chapters, and patents). Prof. Tuller has received various awards and fellowships and he has vast experience as a collaborator with Israeli and international biotech companies and as a founder of start-ups in the field.
